Why farm eggs are better than supermarket eggs

More healthy

Hens eat clean, natural feed, and that shows in the egg. We never wash our eggs, so the natural protective layer stays on and they keep fresh longer.

More fresh

Collected the same week and delivered straight to you, not sitting in a warehouse.

More tasty

Richer yolks and real flavor you can taste.

Better for the hens

Free-range hens with room to roam, not cages.

Better for the earth

A small local farm with a light footprint, no industrial supply chain.

Look and smell better

We keep hens that lay darker, prettier eggs that look and smell fresher than what you are used to.

How to tell a farm egg from a regular egg

Farm eggs and store eggs can look almost the same in the carton. Once you cook them, the difference is easy to spot.

When you crack your first free-range egg, you notice it immediately. The shell resists a little more than you expect, thicker and harder, built from the calcium and minerals the hens pick up while foraging outside all day.

Then comes the color. Instead of a pale, washed-out yellow, the yolk sits there deep orange, almost like a small sunset in the pan. That color comes from a natural diet, grass, bugs, and the sunlight the hens actually get to see.

And when it hits the pan, it holds together. No spreading, no thin watery edges. Just a yolk that stands tall and a white that stays where you put it.

That's the difference a real farm makes.

Can we really eat more than one egg a day?

For decades, eggs were blamed for high cholesterol. That view has changed.

New research has reshaped the picture. Studies on how the body regulates cholesterol, the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and a review from the American Heart Association all point the same direction.

The liver makes about 75 to 80 percent of the cholesterol in our blood. Food barely moves the needle. That's why the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans removed the daily limit on cholesterol, a rule that had stood since 1968. And the American Heart Association now supports one whole egg a day for healthy adults.

The old fear of the egg just doesn't hold up anymore.
